On the 20th of May 2009, wednesday, the teachers of srlmt got one last chance to meet up and tried to finish up what was left in srlmt.

The official Closure of Sekolah Rendah Long Mayan, Tutong II

01.04.2009 is the date which is to be remembered for all the teachers, staff, pupils and even the villagers in Kampong Long Mayan as it was the official date of the closure for the school. It was a quite and a calm day as if it is mourn for the closure of the school.

We would like to say thank you to Sr Kg Bukit for having and taking in our pupils, an appreciation for our ppkdt 2 and pdt2 for coming and sending our children to Sr kg bukit, a big appreciation for the villagers of Kampong Long Mayan for your great support for the school all of these years and lastly we thank you to all the teachers that have taught in this school.

Sekolah Rendah Long Mayan was a school that is a one big happy family, where everybody knows each other, takes care each other, helped each other no matter what the circumstances are. we will going to miss this school as it brings about alot of memories.

Sorry, for the late updates, but it's better be late rather than nothing, right? Before the 1st term holidays started, Our activity in the morning was, we had a walkathon with the pupils. The route was around the Long Mayan village. Then after the break, the pupils were gathered up in the hall for a small presentation. Below are some pictures to describe what had happened on that day.

Latest Information for the Science Powerpoint Presentation

We would like to inform the upcoming competition will be held on Tuesday the 17th of March 2009 at Dewan Sumbangsih Sekolah Rendah Long Mayan. The competition will start around 8.45 a.m So, for the school who had qualified for the final, please be ready and come early for your preparation. We wish you all the best of luck. While for the other school, keep up the good work and in the end, all are winners!!!

We would like to remind you that today (02.03.2009) is the last day to hand in the cd for the Science Powerpoint Presentation. We would like to thank you for your co-operation. The date for the final round of the Science Presentation will be notified soon because of on the 14th March 2009 all of us will still be having our 1st Term Exam. Any new information will be update soon either through "minit" or through blog. Once again, thank you and good luck to us all.

The Grand Finale for the 25th National Day Celebration in SRLMT

The day start off with the flag hoisting and the reading of the prayer. After that the pupils and the teachers went down to the hall and read the Surah Yasin. After the spiritual activity, we all went back to the school compund, sang the patriotic songs and do the figure 25(refer the last post activites)

For the closing of the celebration, the pupils were given activities where the lower level (pra, year 2 and 3) were given colouring activity while upper level (year4,5 and 6) were given quiz test and hand writing test. Below are some of the pictures taken on that day.

25th National Day Celebration in SRLMT

The school started the day with the hoisting and singing of the National Anthem.

Field Trip at Tasek Merimbun Museum: Part I

The school had planned and organised a school trip to the museum at the Tasek Merimbun Heritage Park and then have an activity at the Tasek Merimbun. So let the pictures do the explaination of what happened on that day.

Its a real big Dragon Fly!!! nope, just kidding. Its just a model. A very cool model!!!

Cikgu Dang Pulot show her expertise to the pupils as well as teachers on how to play the very traditional guling tangan made by wood. It was harmonic. As our gb said, it sound like the chinese lion dance..hehehe...(he was just kidding around with his staff) (^_^)

A Field Trip in Tasek Merimbun:Part II

After the visit at the Tasek Merimbun museum, we went down to Tasek Merimbun Balai Raya and have our activities there.

The teachers gave instructions and gave out activities to do. But before they do their activities...

...the pupils had their refreshments.

While the pupils had their refreshments, we were visited by our ppkdt2 and officers from Tutong II

After the refreshments, we continue the day by doing activities provided by the teacher.

Overall, it was a success field trip organised by the school and we would like to say thank you to the friendly staff of Tasek Merimbun Musuem for having us. We would also like to say thank you to our officers for visiting us at the Tasek Merimbun.

Chat in English Programme for Year 6

This is a programme where pupils chat using the proper english with their friends in other school. It integrates english subject with ICT. Some of the purposes of this programme are sharing ideas, experiences and fostering friendships.

These are the two pupils that are involved in the programme. SRLMT are paired with SR Bukit and SR Benutan.

Science Powerpoint Project Presentation

The Science Powerpoint Project Presentation meeting was held on 09.02.2009 on Monday.

Our ppkdt2 Cikgu Abd Kani kicked start the meeting with his welcoming speech and explaining the purpose of the Science powerpoint programme. In his speech was that through this programme, it can achieve a student centred learning, as a medium of learning and as an integration of learning and teaching science through ict.

These are the collaborated chairman from Cluster 1, 2 and 6. SR Bukit Udal (cluster 1) will handle for Science powerpoint presentation year 4, while SR AR Tanjong Maya (cluster 2) for year 5 and SR Long Mayan (cluster 6) for year 6.

Flood hinders the route to school...

The teachers who lives at the coastal part of Tutong gathered around and think of a way on how to access to school as the route to school are flooded.

Our G.B is making an important phone call to seek advice of the situation.

After the phone call, G.B told us to report in SR. PKN Bukit Beruang.

These are the teachers from SR Bukit(our neighbour) and one of our teacher(Cikgu Andyasri is on the far left) gathered around with their G.B as they too are also affected by the flood.

Before we went to SR Bukit Beruang, we decided to check out the road. As we passed by, we were surprised because even SR Tanjong Maya were affected by the flood.

Here is a picture where the river water exceed its river bank at Tanjong Maya.

While we were in SR Bukit Beruang, we took the opportunity to do some work.

Lets hope and pray that the flood will receed soon so that all the school that are affected by the flood can go back to normal.

Fishing in School???

In the early morning after the school assembly....

These are the suspects that were caught fishing in school. Just Kidding!!! Actually its a school project conducted by the teachers

The teacher is explaining to the pupils on how to use the "bubu" correctly. Mind you, the water is clean.

The pupils were very interested with the activity.

Finally, the bubu is in place.

Now, its the pupils turn to place in the bubu

Under the guidance of the teacher, the pupils are trying to place the bubu

The teacher use a stick to make sure that the bubu doesn't float.

Then, they went back to their class with the hopes of catching some fishes...yumm..yumm..

AHAD - 30 November 2008, dilangsungkan Majlis Penutup Sekolah & Sukan Ria bagi SR. Long Mayan Tutong II. Tetamu kehormat majlis ialah Cikgu Hj. Saiful Ashura bin Hj. Abd. Aziz, mantan guru besar Sekolah Rendah Long Mayan pada tahun lepas.

Hadir sama bagi memeriah dan menyemarakan majlis tersebut ialah Penghulu Mukim Ukong [Awg. Hj. Omar bin Abd. Aziz], Ketua Kampong Long Mayan [Mohd. Eddy Sofian bin Abdullah], Pegawai daripada Unit Hal-Ehwal Antarabangsa dan Pehubungan Awam MOE [Alihan Awg. Tengah], Majlis Perundingan Kampung, PIBG SR. Long Mayan, dan penduduk kampung & persekirarannya.

Menyambut majlis penutup sekolah pada hari Ahad sepertinya menjadi tradisi bagi sekolah-sekolah di kawasan pedalaman. Ini adalah bagi memberi peluang atau kesempatan kepada penduduk kampung untuk keluar beramai-ramai menyaksikan aksi anak-anak mereka membuat persembahan atau aktiviti sukan yang direncanakan.

Pelik tetapi benar! Acara membuka kulit kelapa tua dengan sepotong kayu.

Acara memakai baju kurong bagi guru-guru lelaki. Ada-ada saja kamu ani!

Inilah cabaran SPN21

Aksi guru-guru perempaun berjalan menggunakan 'Selipar Jepun' yang dilumuri minyak makan sambil memegang payung.

Moralnya: Perjalanan SPN21 biarlah berjalan lancar dan licin.

Acara 'Musical Chair' bagi kanak-kanak 8 tahun ke bawah menambah keceriaan acara.

Atas permintaan ramai, 'Senam Aerobik Ala Joget' dilakukan sekali lagi sebagai acara penutup.

PIBG/PTA MEETING & FAREWELL CEREMONY

A PIBG/PTA meeting was held to discuss the upcoming event.

Cikgu Md Hasyadee Bin Hj Bolhasan(left) and Cikgu Md Muzhaffar Syafi'ie Bin Md Norshah Alimin (right) were trying to hold their tears and emotions as they were listening to GB's speech and advises.

GB presented souvenier to both of the teachers as a token of appreciation for their long services in SR Long Mayan and as a momento for both of them.

THREE days of heavy downpour in the country has brought misery to many people. The worst hit is the Tutong District. Anyhow people in affected areas need not worry as the situation is under control.

Activities after PSR 2008

The teachers in SR Long Mayan were very proud of Primary 6 pupils as they were taking their own initiatives to clean the trench for proper drainage after the heavy downpour.

After the campaign in the morning, the pupils had a recreational activities. Some of them had badminton games while others played Congkak.

Since Penilaian 3, all teachers here are busy with their works. What works? So many to say here...

Surely after the test, teachers were completing the marksheets, reports and pupil's records. Alhamdulillah all these works was already done. Some teachers was also already complete their scheme for 2009. Good job! On the other hand, Final Year Examination will be start on 10th November until 13th November 2008. Teachers prepare the pupil's revisions.

While Ck Sandi Sunardi, Ck Andyasri and Ck Nooratina are still arranging the timetable for all teachers for year 2009. It takes time because of new subjects such as MIB, Social Studies (Geography and Sejarah), and Seni Kreatif dan teknologi which consist of 3 Modules; Module 1: ICT, Module 2: Lukisan dan Reka Bentuk and Module 3: Muzik dan Drama which will be start next year for Year 1 & 4.

The closing ceremony for this school will be held on 30th November (Sunday). Now all teachers are preparing for this ceremony. All the activities, events and AJK for this ceremony will be discuss with PTA on this 1st November. Hopefully, it will be a very enjoyable moment for everybody...

A new teacher, Ckg Hana Bte Hj Md Zaki have been posted to SR Long Mayan, Tutong II on last Tuesday, 14th Oktober replacing 2 teachers, Ckg Muzhaffar Syafi'ie Bin Md Norshah Alimin who have been transfer to SR Lubok Pulau, Tutong II while Ckg Hasyadee Bin Hj Bolhassan to SR Tanjong Maya, Tutong II. This will be a great lost for SR Long Mayan, Tutong II. Today was their last day at school. Thank you for all your supports and contributions to SR Long Mayan. Both of you will be miss by all teachers and pupils here...
